Crew&Company

This is meant to be a song. I absolutely love the last stanza with all my heart. This song was meant to be addressed to a friend of mine who I am in a platonic, trusting, fun, understanding, relationship in with. He’s a great friend. But afterwards, I figure I could use this for more than one friend. Anyways, PLEASE READ IT IN ITS ENTIRETY. And comment too. <3
Crew&Company
Boy I know what you mean, I’m sailing along these same rough waters, and I wish I knew the way, wish I knew the reasons why it bothers, and I’m pulling on through just the same as you, and I understand the feeling, how it feels; just want to jump off the deep, and it’s those sinking feelings that you don’t want to keep, but they seem to take ages to pass, and pass, and pass. So I’ll be here with you, to help share the sting as it lasts and lasts and lasts.
& I’ll listen for days to the way you rant and you rave, and we’ll endure as friends, each ripple and wave. And by the end of the summer sunset we’ll be cold, we’ll be wet, but we’ll both have those secrets to tell, and we might as well build a home in one of those lovely shells—and in trust. We’ll make it through another dark night in September where we feel like it must, rather be, December. But through every storm you’ve made me think of ways to leave that violent tide, and they’ve always helped me enjoy the ride. So in the lows in—in the highs—we’ll be each other’s company. Crew and Company.
Because Boy you know what I mean, you’re sailing along these same rough waters, and you know the way, you know the reasons why it bothers, and I’m pulling on through just the same as you, and I understand the feeling, how it feels; just want to jump off the deep, and it’s those sinking feelings that you don’t want to keep, but they just seem to take ages to pass, and pass, and pass. And you’ll be here with me, to help share the sting as it lasts, and lasts, and lasts.
And maybe we’ll set sail under the most peaceful moonlight, where everything seems perfect, magical, and right. And we’ll touch every single sea, as we travel along coast lines and islands, and see; the world is in our hands as the water flows in between. And we’ll hold the unattainable in our grasp, as we hold on to everything, that we have. And as the ocean rocks our boat, we won’t fear anything, because we have hope. And it’s the little things that count, each ripple and wave amount, into a terribly wonderful cataclysmic event, a storm of love that has no end. So in the lows in—in the highs—we’ll be each other’s company. Crew and Company.
